About Dr. Nathans
Serving our Newburgh practice
Dr. Michael Nathans completed both his general practice residency and his orthodontics residency at NYU College of Dentistry. He also completed his dental internship at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Nathans has worked in multiple group practices over the course of his career, and previously operated his own private practice. In addition, Dr. Nathans spent ten years as Director of Dentistry at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn. His extensive experience is an invaluable asset to our office.
From the doctor:
“In the many years that I have been practicing Orthodontics, I have seen technology transform the profession. Today we can move teeth in much less treatment time and with very little discomfort in adults as well as children. Good looks start with good smiles. A beautiful smile is the best gift I can give to a patient. My reward is when the patient smiles back at me.”
About Dr. Movahedian
Serving our Bronx practice
Dr. Lidia Movahedian had always dreamed of becoming an orthodontist. She attended Cornell University, where she was inducted into the Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society and cofounded the Pre-Dental Society for students interested in pursuing a career in dentistry. She continued her education at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, during which she devoted herself to community outreach and improving the oral health of underserved populations. She went on to complete a General Practice Residency at New York Methodist Hospital, where she had the opportunity to further explore all aspects of dentistry, including pediatrics and orthodontics. She subsequently returned to Columbia University to complete a residency in orthodontics and obtained a Master of Science in Orthodontics.
Dr. Movahedian is now living out her dream of working in private practice, treating both children and adults in our Bronx office.
