About Dr. Dow

Serving our Newburgh practice

Dr. John Paul Dow is a certified specialist in Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Orthopedics with over 30 years of experience. He was awarded the distinction of National Merit Scholar upon graduation from Forest Hills High School. At sixteen he entered university at Queens College and read extensively in Physics and Macroeconomics. Dr. Dow graduated Magna Cum Laude and was awarded the distinction of the Chancellor’s Honor Roll.

He later graduated from The Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine and was awarded a merit scholarship to attend an orthodontic residency at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), which has since merged with Rutgers University.

Dr. Dow has worked in multiple group practices over the course of his career and previously operated his own private practice. His extensive experience and love of orthodontics allows him to treat patients in our Newburgh office with the utmost level of care./

About Dr. Movahedian

Serving our Bronx practice
Dr. Lidia Movahedian had always dreamed of becoming an orthodontist. She attended Cornell University, where she was inducted into the Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society and cofounded the Pre-Dental Society for students interested in pursuing a career in dentistry. She continued her education at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, during which she devoted herself to community outreach and improving the oral health of underserved populations. She went on to complete a General Practice Residency at New York Methodist Hospital, where she had the opportunity to further explore all aspects of dentistry, including pediatrics and orthodontics. She subsequently returned to Columbia University to complete a residency in orthodontics and obtained a Master of Science in Orthodontics.
Dr. Movahedian is now living out her dream of working in private practice, treating both children and adults in our Bronx office.
